The ability to express freely is the ability to see beyond the detail ~ Joanne GG Barrett
Man has admired horses for centuries so it's no wonder that they have been depicted in many art forms; from sculptures to paintings to large murals. We have a deep spiritual connection with them, and we often see ourselves within them. Horses are symbolic of who we are as people.
Joanne GG Barrett knows this connection with her own experiences of owning horses and has identified how her own demeanour changes when she is around them. Using this knowledge, along with her interest in philosophy and love of abstract art; she has created her own unique style with universal appeal.
Her work shows this understanding of the human spirit, the delicate balance between dark and light, and this leads her work to be freely interpreted by all...the art lovers, philosophers, or those who just simply enjoy abstract equine modern art.
